Greenshank alighted on Carlisle in November 2021, when Stephen Benson invited Heartwood Institute and Pefkin to play a show, and a spontaneous improvisation led us to working together.

Sparked by Jonathan's field recordings around the Solway Firth, the theme developed into shifting boundaries and hidden landscapes; reflections and interiority.

The edge is an exchange of sea and land,
Fingers of salt and arteries of sand.
